What is USU?

Urban Sounds for Uyogo is a charity which hosts an annual set of events, organised and participated in by Kenilworth School pupils.

Africa Week in February is the highlight of our fundraising calendar – we host the Urban Night shows, which showcase the best talent that Kenilworth School has to offer, and Swing Night, an evening of music and dining.

Since being founded in 2004, USU has raised over £80,000 for our charities, which include KUFL (Kenilworth-Uyogo Friendship Link), Water Aid and Elephants for Africa.

We have helped KUFL make huge progress in Uyogo, a village in Tanzania, but there is still many more ways in which we can help! The money we raise contributes to projects such as building water tanks and schools, and KUFL support the members of the community in Uyogo to help participate in the building and running of these projects.

For more information, read our pages about the charities we support and the events we organise, and feel free to get in contact with any questions!
